There’s always someone sewing in the back room at the Bungalow. We’re very inviting. We like to have people in the back sewing. Sometimes people need a little help with their projects so they just come on in and work on them in the back. We have several Berninas in the back for people to use. We also have a “Go” cutter. The die cutter can be rented for $10/hr.
It’s a fun place to be for sewists and knitters alike. It brings us all together when we enjoy sewing and knitting together. We share our projects, or mistakes, and lots of laughs. Everyone likes to hear about someone else’s mistakes. For one thing, it makes us all see that no matter how perfect you might think someone else is, we all make mistakes. And, sometimes when you tell someone about your mistake, you realize just how funny it is!
Last week, we did a “Technique Tuesday” about sewing small zipper pouches. We demonstrated a technique for sewing in zippers. It was fun and well attended. Then, a few people wanted to come back and sew in the back room, so that if they had any questions, they could ask them right away.
Joy Masters was one of them. Here she is sewing on her little zippy pouch. She had a lot of fun!
