So, the Row by Row Experience is almost upon us! It starts on June 21st, and ends sometime in September. I am particularly proud of our row this year. It is the State of Wisconsin, all done in solids. I love the simple yet dramatic look of using solids. As a modern quilter, it’s one of the mainstays. Our block is one of the only modern ones in all of Row by Row.
If you haven’t heard of Row by Row, this is what it is. There are multiple shops in the state participating. It is not limited to Wisconsin, but is, however, all over the United States. This allows travelers to visit other states’ quilt shops and participate.
To participate, all you as the customer have to do is ask for a free pattern. That’s right. Any shop that is participating will have a free pattern for a row. Then, the customer gets this free pattern and can make a row. The customer can then collect all the free patterns that he or she wants.
The customer then goes home and creates a quilt with these rows. If they finish a quilt which means pieced, quilted, bound and labeled, and they are the first one to finish and come back with it to a participating Row by Row shop, they win a giant stack of fat quarters. Claudia Mielke was the winner at the Bungalow last year.
If you are making a quilt you must have 8 rows in your quilt. If you win, you receive 25 free fat quarters. If you bring it to one of the shops that has a row in your quilt, then you get an additional prize. Here is the link to the Row by Row site that answers all the questions.

Bungalow has the best row, so make sure and come in and ask for it. There won’t be a colored picture attached to the pattern so the picture is included here so that it can be referenced no matter where you are.
