We have a very active Quilts of Valor group in Ripon. We make quilts for veterans. We have most if not all of the WWII Veterans covered, quite literally, with their quilts. These well deserving vets from our area get a quilt on Memorial Day and at Christmas time at the Dicken’s of a Quilt Show. This is always the first weekend of December.
Bungalow has always been a very active part of this group. We carry patriotic fabrics so that the supplies are available to make these quilts. Pat and Jim Bednarek are the biggest part of it all. Jim is a Korean war veteran. He and his wife, Pat, quilt all of these quilts for free. They have donated countless hours to this cause. You can see Jim driving around in their van with the Quilts of Valor sign on his door.
Here’s a sneak peak at the panel that I ordered for the next round of Quilts of Valor quilts.
