I have decided to create a paper pieced pattern for all 50 states. What started this? Well, Row by Row Experience inspired me. I had the idea to create our row out of Wisconsin blocks. That’s because the theme for the row is supposed to be “Home Sweet Home” this year.
I was so excited when the idea came to me. However, I don’t enjoy applique, unless it’s by machine. So what is a girl to do? Paper piecing! Paper piecing is so much fun, and you can create little pieces in blocks better this way than in any other way. So far, I have Wisconsin done, Minnesota, Iowa and Texas. I have many more of these done, but just not sewn up. I have to sew them before I will release them to make sure that everything works just right. So, here they are. I love the way they’re turning out.
They can be purchased on my Etsy site. To get there you just click “shop” on this site. Or you can come in to the Bungalow and get the patterns. They’re not free, but they are just a small amount. On the web they’re downloadable PDF Patterns. That’s great because you can download them and print them as many times as you desire.
If you buy them in shop, they will cost just a little more to make up for the cost of the paper.
I created a quilt using the Wisconsin blocks that I will be marketing as well. This quilt will work with any of the paper pieced states. Can’t wait to get that back from the quilter!
