This is one of the first things that Abby has sewn. We are so excited for her. Her mom, Cindy Cody, works in the shop. She is my go to girl along with Kim Bates for making bags. Some of us actually enjoy making bags. I however, do not. So, because Cindy is so good at it and does it all the time, Abby is picking it up. She made these two zippy pouches all by herself. Zippers and all! She is only 13 years old. We’re looking forward to her working in the shop some day. It’s great to have these young girls around. They keep you on your toes.
Cindy and Kim are the resident experts in using all things interfacing-like in bags. My love of sewing does not transfer to bag making. So, I ordered a bunch of really cool bag patterns for the shop just yesterday so that Cindy and Kim could get their teeth into them. Ha Ha, get it? Teeth? Like zipper teeth!
