I have done this clamshell class about 3 or 4 times now, and it never gets old. That’s because the customers that come to do it always have amazing ideas of how to use fabrics for it.
It really is just a simple one-patch, and by the time you’re done with this class you will be an expert at piecing curves. There are some tricks to doing it really well, and that’s primarily what you learn in this class.
I’m not an expert at much, but I will say that I am an expert at piecing curves. Being one that hates hand stitching, I learned to do this out of necessity. I don’t like applique, and so I piece everything. I am very good at piecing in entire circles.
In this class you will use my accu-cut machine to cut the clamshells, so that part goes very quickly.
I love drunkard’s path quilts, and anything with curves. So, I have become very adept at not only doing these curves but teaching them as well. If you want to learn to do this quilt, call the Bungalow and we will arrange a class for you!
