The caddy is finished and looks so pretty. It’s especially nice with the oranges in the fabric; just when you’d want a warm casserole to take to someone (I mean in Fall and Winter!) See the photo which shows my 9×13 pan in it. The edges fold right over the pan, and the handles (not shown) will not allow it to open up.
A tip: There are 4 curved edges on this caddy, and you may not be used to putting a binding on a curved edge if you have only done squared-corner quilts. When you pin the binding to the edge of the curve, stretch it a wee bit as you go around. See the photo. Done right, it should stand up from the fabric a bit. If you don’t do this, it will result in the binding being somewhat bunched or gathered. It then gets even bulkier when you turn it over to slipstitch (finish) it.
